Videsh the film by Deepa Mehta has been given an ‘A’ certificate by the Censor Board. The movie's story is based on domestic violence. The movie stars Preity Zinta and Vansh Bhardwaj.

The movie tells the story about a Punjabi woman who gets married to an NRI in Canada. But she faces rude shock after settling into her marital life when she is repeatedly subjected to domestic violence from her husband. Censor board had asked Deepa to cut down the violent scenes in the flick. But Deepa and B R Films decided to go along with the 'A' certificate rather than compromising on the creative integrity of the film.
