Khichdi the Movie is the first television sitcom to be adapted into a movie in India. Friends, or Sex in the City it ain’t but the film, written and directed by Aatish Kapadia who also created the sitcom, have its share of madcap moments.

Movie is also very confident about its success and said that their only aim is to make everyone laugh aloud. Producer JD Majethia added that it is a comedy about a Gujarati family but with a universal appeal.
